Kuantan overview

Kuantan Travel Guide
There is not a massive amount going for Kuantan itself. But those who do find themselves with some time to spare as they change buses could do worse than visit the remarkable Sultan Ahmad Shah I Mosque with its stained glass windows, blue and white marble walls and 180-feet high minarets. Being the only east coast town with a direct road link to Kuala Lumpur, Kuantan is a popular destination for those wishing to get away from the city for a while and relax on the white sandy beaches. Lake Chini will take a day to visit. Legend has it that a sunken Khmer city lurks beneath its surface. Legend also has it that a dragon guards the lake. Proving either to be true would be a marvelous way to round off a trip to the area.
