Kuching overview

Kuching Travel Guide
The capital of Borneo’s Sarawak region, Kuching is a waterfront town situated on the Sarawak River. A stroll along the waterfront is probably a must for any visitor with its pleasant footpaths and numerous gardens. At night the waterfront is a festival of light. Kuching is the perfect base for those wishing to take daytrips to the surrounding national parks. The Semenggoh Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre is a good place to see semi-wild orangutans as well as honey bears and a variety of other animals that wondered into poachers’ cages and were fortunate enough to be allowed to wonder out again. Bako National Park is another day trip, which could see visitors come nose to nose with a proboscis Monkey or at the very least a mosquito or two.
