Miri overview

Miri Travel Guide
Although regularly associated with the oil industry, Miri, on the island of Borneo, is also known for its stunning national parks. Gunung Mulu is the home to the Sarawak Chamber, the world’s biggest natural cave. The Niah National Park is home to caves where the oldest human remains in Southeast Asia have been discovered. Closer to Miri is Lambir Hills which is accessible to those who wish to wonder its nature trails and cool off in its swimming holes and waterfalls. The Miri Sibuti Marine National Park boasts the region’s most diverse coral reefs and is now very popular with divers. Although not yet designated a national park the Miri Megamall, a paradise for shoppers, is close to being the size of one.
