Port Dickson overview

Port Dickson Travel Guide
Port Dickson, or PD for those in the know, is just an hour by car from Kuala Lumpur. This makes the small resort popular with those wishing to escape the bustle of the city for a while. The beaches are pleasant enough but stalled investment in the area means that cosy little beach side bungalows have been replaced by half finished hotel complexes. Originally known for its charcoal production the town is now the home of oil refineries. The Blue Lagoon is a favourite spot for those wishing to take advantage of the numerous beach related activities. Usually crowded and often noisy this is the perfect place for relaxing to the gentle rustle of plastic bags tumbling past abandoned Coke cans. The still working lighthouse is worth a brief visit.
