Terengganu overview

Terengganu Travel Guide
Terengganu has too many beaches to count on a single hand all with the softest, whitest sand stretching down to the South China Sea. Fishing boats bob on the waves and fishing is still the main economic activity here. However recently discovered oil reserves could change this. For the moment though Terengganu is a place of lush forests, exquisite islands and sleepy villages. Kite flying and spinning tops appear to be among the favourite pastimes for the locals and tourists are welcome to join in if so inclined. The Taman Tamadun Islam or Islamic Civilisation Park is not to be missed whilst in Terengganu. An ‘edutainment’ centre it aims to showcase everything to do with Islamic art, architecture and engineering. It also features favourite mosques from around the world recreated in miniature.
